Kim Dickerson is the Volunteer Coordinator at Freedom School Partners. Having spent the last four years as a volunteer herself with FSP, Kim has the privilege to recruit eager individuals who love to give their time and talents to helping children. Prior to volunteering with FSP, Kim was an elementary school teacher with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. As a teacher, Kim taught several FSP afterschool scholars and witnessed a program that was effective and supportive. When she left teaching to have children of her own, she continued to stay involved with FSP. Kim started off as Harambee Coordinator recruiting readers for the summer program. Kim attended undergrad at University of Colorado in Boulder and graduate school at Queens University of Charlotte. In her spare time Kim loves spending time doing anything outdoors. Kim is married to Logan, has two children Avery and Mason and dog Dakota.
